Hello, my name is Tori Davidson. I joined Alliance Counseling in May 2024 after earning my Master of Social Work degree at Aurora University. Before becoming a therapist, I spent six years as an educator in both traditional and Montessori settings. 

Since beginning my social work career, I have worked with a wide age range of children, from toddlers to adolescents. I provided professional care to adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system and children of all ages experiencing foster care. In these positions, I served children and adolescents who were experiencing anxiety, depression, grief & bereavement, physical and sexual abuse, self-esteem issues, ADHD, Autism, and trauma. 

My work is influenced by Child-Centered Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I will tailor a combination of these methods to the individual needs and skills of your child. 

I believe that children are magical humans with the capacity to experience the world in a beautiful and imaginative way. I approach therapy holistically to help children better understand themselves and thrive in their environments. There is great healing power in the therapeutic relationship, and I place value in every child’s experience and perspective.
